Le Sacre du printemps is a ballet and orchestral concert work by Russian composer Igor Stravinsky.
At its premiere on May 29, 1913 at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the avant-garde character of the music caused a sensation. The audience reacted with indignation. In the meantime, this work by Stravinsky is considered one of the most influential musical works of the 20th century.
